Ambraw Asphalt was honored at the AGC's 100th annual convention luncheon as the recipient of the Hot Mix Asphalt category Award of Excellence. The project was a smart job consisting of pavement patching, milling and one lift of bituminous hot mix on US 50 from Lawrenceville, IL to Vincennes, IN. Due in large part to the excellent milling job by Dunn Company the area engineer requested the pavement be profilographed to prove it was as smooth as it felt. The outstanding results of the test led to the nomination and eventual winning result. This is the highest award given by the Illinois Department of Transportation to an asphalt contractor. We are happy and grateful to share in our good fortune with Dunn Company and your many fine employees who made this possible.
